This beautiful couple got married in a small town named Volmoed, about 15 kilometres from Oudtshoorn. Oudtshoorn is well-known for being the ostrich capital of the world (just so by the way).

The wedding was themed around the baroque era (Marie Antoinette, 17th and 18th centuries) – ornate and elaborate with many beautiful and intricate details. For those who did not know, Marie Antoinette was the last queen of France before the French revolution. “Long after her death, Marie Antoinette remains a major historical figure linked with conservatism, the Catholic Church, wealth, and fashion” – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Antoinette#Legacy

Red and golden warm tones, resembling energy, passion, love, strength and power.  Indeed a true resemblance of Salmarie and Theart’s connection with one another.

The weather in the Klein Karoo never disappoints, for this day was perfect as all the other days on which I photographed a wedding at La Plume.
